What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise you across page views, remember settings or keep sessions alive.

Comparable technologies (e.g. browser web storage) are treated as cookies for legal purposes.

Legal basis

Storing and reading information on your device is governed by § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act):

  • Strictly necessary under § 25 (2) (2) TDDDG: no consent required.
  • Optional (e.g. analytics, marketing): only with explicit consent under § 25 (1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Session ID
Maintains your session after sign-in · Lifetime: session
CSRF token
Protection against cross-site request forgery · Lifetime: session
Language
Stores selected UI language (DE/EN) · Lifetime: 12 months
Cookie notice
Remembers that you have seen the notice · Lifetime: 12 months

You cannot disable these cookies because they are essential to operate the platform. Legal basis: § 25 (2) (2) TDDDG.

Google tag in advanced consent mode

The Google tag loads on every page using Consent Mode v2. Until the relevant consent is granted, all storage access remains denied and no optional Google cookies are set. Google may receive reduced, cookieless measurement signals containing technical request data; advertising identifiers are redacted.

We additionally load Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.). It sets no cookies and measures nothing itself; it only manages the services named above. It loads once the browser has finished rendering the page and inherits the same denied defaults.

Analytics cookies (consent only)

With your explicit consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to compile usage statistics for our website. Only then is analytics_storage granted and analytics cookies may be set.

_ga
Distinguishes returning visitors · Lifetime: 14 months
_ga_ERE5NE2TBR
Maintains session state · Lifetime: 14 months

If you withdraw your consent, measurement is disabled and the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.

Marketing cookies (consent only)

With your separate consent, we use Google Ads Conversion Tracking (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure whether an ad click leads to a relevant action on our website. Only then are ad_storage and ad_user_data granted. Remarketing, Google Signals and personalised advertising remain disabled.

_gcl_aw
Attributes conversions to ad clicks · Lifetime: up to 90 days
_gcl_au
Conversion attribution via the Google Ads conversion linker · Lifetime: up to 90 days

If you withdraw consent, conversion measurement is disabled and Google Ads cookies are deleted.

Third parties and tracking

Google Analytics and Google Ads are integrated using advanced consent mode; optional storage access is activated only after the corresponding consent. We do not use other embedded services that set cookies without active interaction (e.g. social media plugins). Embedded content such as videos - if used at all - is loaded only after an explicit click and in enhanced privacy mode.

Managing your settings

When you first visit our site, a banner asks whether you want to allow optional cookies. We only store strictly necessary cookies until you actively accept. You can revise your decision at any time:

Browser settings

Independently of our platform you can delete cookies in your browser at any time, or prevent cookies from being stored entirely. Instructions are available in the help section of your respective browser:

  • Chrome · Edge · Firefox · Safari: Settings → Privacy / Cookies
  • Mobile browsers: Settings → Privacy

Please note that fully disabling cookies may prevent you from signing in or prevent parts of the platform from working.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future - either via the settings dialog or by e-mail to compliance@batteriepasswerk.com. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal is not affected.
