What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise you across page views, remember settings or keep sessions alive.

Comparable technologies (e.g. browser web storage) are treated as cookies for legal purposes.

Legal basis

Storing and reading information on your device is governed by § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act):

  • Strictly necessary under § 25 (2) (2) TDDDG: no consent required.
  • Optional (e.g. analytics, marketing): only with explicit consent under § 25 (1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Session ID
Maintains your session after sign-in · Lifetime: session
CSRF token
Protection against cross-site request forgery · Lifetime: session
Language
Stores selected UI language (DE/EN) · Lifetime: 12 months
Cookie notice
Remembers that you have seen the notice · Lifetime: 12 months

You cannot disable these cookies because they are essential to operate the platform. Legal basis: § 25 (2) (2) TDDDG.

Analytics cookies

We currently use no third-party analytics cookies. Should this change in the future, a consent banner will ask you for your consent before any such cookie is set.

Marketing cookies

We use no marketing, advertising or profiling cookies.

Third parties and tracking

We deliberately avoid embedded services that set cookies without active interaction (e.g. ad networks, social media plugins). Embedded content such as videos — if used at all — is loaded only after an explicit click and in enhanced privacy mode.

Managing your settings

Since we only use strictly necessary cookies, a separate consent manager is not required on this platform. Should we ever introduce optional cookies, a settings dialog will appear here allowing you to enable or disable individual categories.

Browser settings

Independently of our platform you can delete cookies in your browser at any time, or prevent cookies from being stored entirely. Instructions are available in the help section of your respective browser:

  • Chrome · Edge · Firefox · Safari: Settings → Privacy / Cookies
  • Mobile browsers: Settings → Privacy

Please note that fully disabling cookies may prevent you from signing in or prevent parts of the platform from working.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw any consent you may have given in the future at any time with effect for the future — either via the settings dialog or by e-mail to compliance@batteriepasswerk.com. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal is not affected.
