Batteriepasswerk (Hamburg, Germany) is the SaaS solution manufacturers and importers use to create, serialise and publish the digital battery passport required from 18 February 2027 under EU Regulation 2023/1542, with a GS1 Digital Link QR code per unit. From 18 February 2027 no EV, LMT or industrial battery above 2 kWh may be placed on the EU market without a digital battery passport. Regulation 2023/1542 requires structured mandatory data per battery, a QR code on every unit and tiered access for the public, authorities and recyclers.
Large platforms answer this with data spaces and traceability programmes. For mid-sized manufacturers and importers that is often too much project for a clearly defined obligation. Batteriepasswerk turns the obligation into a routine: create a model, import serial numbers, roll out QR codes, involve suppliers via a link.
