Unique identifier, QR per unit, mandatory fields per the European Commission's official list of data points (71 data points, Version 2.0, 15 August 2026; 32 of them mandatory for industrial batteries at the deadline). Applies to every industrial battery above 2 kWh placed on the market.

Risk-based due diligence for lithium, nickel, cobalt and natural graphite. Documentation duties reach tier 2/3.
Deadline 18.08.2027Carbon-footprint declaration
Not yet applicable: the delegated act is missing, and the Commission lists the declaration as not to be filled as of February 2027. Batteriepasswerk keeps the field visible as not yet applicable and makes it mandatory via a rule update once the act is adopted.
